The Sea Cadet Corps & The USS Utah

When a Sea Cadet unit is formed, those forming the new unit has the choice of naming the unit. The unit may be named after a ship, a geographical location, or an individual. The name selected must then have NSCC National Headquarters approval. For this Sea Cadet unit, the namesake chosen was "Battleship Utah" in honor of those who served aboard the USS Utah.
