⭐ Spotlight: Petty Officer Second Class Black ⭐
Petty Officer Second Class Black is a dedicated member of Training Ship Bennion, where he serves as one of the unit’s photojournalists. During his tenure, PO2 Black has documented numerous unit events, including the commissioning of the USS Utah (SSN-801), drill weekends, and a Change of Command ceremony, helping preserve the history and pride of the command.
As Leading Petty Officer, PO2 Black trained, supervised, and mentored more than seven League Cadets in training, military drill, uniform appearance, advancement, and physical fitness. His leadership and mentorship directly contributed to the command earning exceptional scores during this year’s uniform inspection and Physical Training tests.
During the most recent swim qualification, PO2 Black was one of only two cadets to earn First Class Swimmer qualification.
