Welcome to the Battleship Utah (BB-31) Division and Training Ship Bennion of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps! We are honored to welcome your family aboard and excited to provide your cadet with opportunities for personal growth, leadership development, and unforgettable experiences.
The United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) is a nationally recognized youth leadership development program supported by the United States Navy and Coast Guard. Our mission is to develop young leaders of character by instilling the values of honor, courage, commitment, discipline, and service.
Through a combination of military-style training, hands-on experiences, and exciting educational opportunities, cadets have the chance to explore a wide variety of career fields and develop valuable life skills, including:
- ⚓ Seamanship & Naval Operations – Discover maritime traditions, navigation, and life aboard naval vessels.
- ✈️ Aviation & Aerospace – Explore aviation careers, flight operations, and aerospace technology.
- 🛡️ Security & Public Safety – Gain exposure to military security operations, emergency preparedness, and public safety.
- 🔬 STEM & Technology – Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Welcome to the Chief's Mess of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps – Battleship Utah (BB-31) Division.
The title of Chief Petty Officer represents more than a rank. It symbolizes dedication, perseverance, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
The Chief's Mess recognizes the cadets who have earned the distinguished rank of Chief Petty Officer (CPO) through years of hard work, personal sacrifice, and service to their fellow cadets and unit.
These young leaders have demonstrated the highest standards of military bearing, professionalism, accountability, and integrity. As Chiefs, they serve as mentors, role models, and trusted leaders, carrying forward the proud traditions of the United States Navy and the Naval Sea Cadet Corps.
Earning the anchors is not simply an achievement — it is a responsibility to lead, inspire, and uphold the standards of those who came before.
Our Chief's Mess honors the achievements of these exceptional cadets, both past and present, and recognizes their lasting contributions to the Battleship Utah (BB-31) Division.
