Wreaths Across America
Muster at the Fort Douglas Post Theater at 0730 on 14 DEC 24 for practice. Address for the Post Theater is 245 Fort Douglas Blvd. Ceremony will begin at 1000 sharp. After the ceremony, we will proceed to the Fort Douglas Cemetery to lay the wreaths. Fort Douglas Cemetery address-431 S Chipeta Way. Click link below for route map.
Snowball Express-Gold Star Children’s Event
We have been invited again this year to participate in the Gary Sinise Foundation Snowball Express, an annual event for Gold Star Children. The event is being held at the Salt Lake International Airport on 07 DEC 2024 from 0600-1100. Uniform of the day will be Dress Blues (Sea Cadets/Officers), and Johnny Cash (League Cadets). All uniforms must be pristine, shoes shined and complete. Any items needed will need to be requested as soon as possible from the Supply Officer.
This event honors those children whose family members have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedom and way of life. At the event, all members of the Armed Forces and cadets, will help escort the children through the TSA checkpoint, or welcome the Snowball Express as it lands from Seattle to pick up additional children. Assignments will be taken care of the day of the event. More information will be available at a later date.
